Moabit has more to offer than you might think – lovely cafés, bars and restaurants, in which you can have a break from walking through the German capital. With new bars opening all the time, it is sometimes difficult to find a needle in a haystack. To ease your decision, here are my Top 5 bars of Moabit.
At the Bata Bar you can play pool on twelve tables in a great atmosphere right at Berlin Hauptbahnhof or also dart and table-soccer. A good drink and some billiards – what better way to end this beautiful day in Moabit? On Monday you can play two hours for free. In case you have to wait, you can make the wait worth while by playing board games such as Ludo or Monopoly.

In Moabit there are countless corner pubs, but hardly any decent bars for serving properly mixed drinks. With the George R finally a cosy candlelight bar opened, where you can relax and oil your throat with a serious palette of whiskeys and Scotches or drinks mixed on point.

Cozy cocktail bar with a wide offer of selected Craft Beers, spirits and homemade products (beers, syrups and more). Regular events, such as tastings and art exhibitions. Reservation required.

Always looking for a nice bar in Moabit... Tirée opened in 2013 as a small art bar, and is a beautiful small breakfast café and bar today. Everything is homemade - the delicious, super creamy typical German Bircher Muesli or the vegan breakfast platters. In addition you can drink coffee or warm juices in different versions or in the evening you can have a few drinks and watch the hustle and bustle on the Birkenstraße.

Heine Bar describes itself as the neighborhood living room and probably does the best job at mixing drinks on point (together with the George R bar). This bar offers a charming, easy and down to earth ambience. The smoking area is separated, make sure to save yourself a seat at the cosy fireplace. Also the game night every Thursday is highly recommended.
