The banks of the river Spree are always worth a visit whether for sitting in the grass with some food or drinks in the summertime or going for a nice walks or a run along the little paths. Especially beautiful is the Spree bank in Moabit, which leads from Schloss Bellevue to the former Federal Ministry of the Interior. Schloss Bellevue has been the Federal President‘s first official residence since 1994. Moabit is an island surrounded by water. You will find the most beautiful photo spot directly opposite the Bellevue station along the willow trees.
Special tip: Opposite the Bellevue castle you can also sit very nicely in the green and enjoy a glass of wine, a little picnic or a Berlin Döner kebab. The Spreeufer is also ideal for running!

The climbing hall of the German Alpine Club is close to the central station (Hauptbahnhof). For members, it offers indoor and outdoor climbing surfaces with a max 15-meter height as well as a bouldering area; however, once or twice you can visit as a guest. Those interested in learning to climb with rope can book classes at DAV.

This laundry puts an engaging spin on the task of completing your wash. Here you will be welcomed by a kitschy-cute, old school interior, wash powder tins from the olden days such as the famous Ariel, Weißer Riese and a few other Russian washing powders. Chandeliers decorate the ceilings with comfy furnishing to sit your way through the wait till your washing is done.
Special tip: The in-house café serves not only coffee, but also Ahoj-Brause (an old school German sherbet brand in paper packets which you mix with water. This is a must do when there ;-)).
