Berlin's theater scene is very popular. The German capital offers many theaters and events. Luckily for you, I completed an easy-to-use BertaBerlin map for Mitte. It took time, but here you have my Top 5 theaters of Mitte. If you want to know more, you can order the map already in my shop.
This theater is absolutely worth standing in line for a ticket. It offers a guided tour through the opera, which enabled me to take a look behind the scenes. I especially loved seeing the costumes, props, orchestra and set design. The canteen of the opera house is also very much recommend: Small sausages of Brandenburg cattle and poached chicken's breast define its menu. Not only artists, but also normal people like me are allowed to visit the "casino".

This theater has played in the Monbijou park on the river Spree in Berlin’s historical centre since 1999. The winter programme features fairy tale classics - for example - by the Brothers Grimm. Before or after the show you can sit in their beach bar, which offers Friday night outdoor swing dance lessons. But they also host tango, salsa and cha-cha nights. Beginners of all ages are welcome. While enjoying a delicious drink you can have a beautiful overlook of Museum Island.

In 2014, the initiative Acud macht neu saved the Kunsthaus Acud from bankruptcy and has since set in motion interdisciplinary projects in their theater, gallery and club. The Acud Theater organizes festivals and initiates multicultural events on political themes as well as making precarious experimentation possible. Here you also find the bar Max Fish with a beer garden.
