Probably Berlin is the best city to be a freelancer. The number of start-ups is reflected in the number of cafés, which are sometimes used as a headquarter, where probably a lot of startup were founded. Here you can find my Top 5 cafés of Mitte, inwhich you can still have a coffee while reading a book or meet friends.
This Café offers from fresh sandwich, homemade pasteries to coffee everything you need for a good start in the day. And you can buy their coffee beans too.

Tabea and Tobias, the owner of Cafe Fechtner, really take the present spirit of Green Eating, Nordic and Regional Cuisine to the next level. Here you could confuse your workaday lunch for a Fine Dining. I enjoyed a delicious “Stulle” with avocado, salmon, radishes and horse radish.

The mix of coffee shop, restaurant and bar is part of the Circus Hotel complex. Commonground has super cool interior and is quite spacious. “The Commonground” (bread, bacon, poached eggs, avocado and a delicious sauce) is highly recommended. The Coffee and tea options are also great and they have a very nice backyard, where you can sit next to a little pond.
