Cafe Katies Blue Cat has an Onlineshop now
If you are in Neukölln you have to visit the Cafe Katies Blue Cat. It is one of my favorite cafes. The homemade pastries of the cafe are baked in their kitchen. So Olivia and Ngoc make sure that only the best ingredients are used and their guests get the pastries fresh out of the oven. In autumn they offer Canadian Butter Tarts on the weekend. So you better be early to get some. I fell in love with the Espresso-Chai-Coffee-Cake too. And if you cannot eat them all, you can buy the cakes to go....

The owner of Geschwister Nothaft Cafe worked as a waiter at - Oktoberfest for years, worming his way through 10,000 beer-swilling revellers, 16 hours a day for 16 days straight. While testing the limits of even the most crowd-loving extrovert, he met the former owner of a cafe in Neukölln. Little did he know, he would go on to rent that very same space for his own cafe, which he started in 2010 with his sister Lena. Soon after, in 2012 a second, Cafe Nothaft and Seidel, would follow in...

Ngoc and Olivia from cafe Katies Blue Cat
The cafe Katies Blue Cat was found by Olivia and Ngoc and its located between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. Since opening on the quiet side street Friedelstrasse in 2011, it has become one of my neighborhood favorite. Not only is the coffee prepared with care, the cafe opens super early at 8:30 am. The big quality of a cafe is that they have good products, amazing service and great location. Before they opened, Ngoc had a Handbag Label and Olivia was a graphic designer. Olivia started to bake after...

Cafe Espera has the greatest cinnamon buns
It’s not hard to spend a nice weekend in Berlin / Neukölln, but my guests often ask me for advice on what things there are to do. There is not one answer, but to start your day with a coffee at cafe Espera is definitely a very good idea. Their cakes are delicious as well. Cafe Espera has variants of sandwiches with fresh baked bread and homemade sauces. Don’t worry about getting there too late. In Berlin, especially in Neukölln, breakfast can easy happen at lunch time ;).

Have u met Eri and Tose? They are running the cafe Two and Two in Neukölln. I enjoyed some French pastry and a good coffee the other day. If u feel like it, you can shop for Japanese stationery and coffee equipment.

Just found this sweet café in Neukölln. The sandwiches are always a great choice for lunch. The staff is super friendly and the interior is cozy. My favorite is a Swedish sandwich with an amazing hummus garnished by olives and mint-pea tapenades. As well their chocolate cake is a symphony of flavors dancing on your tongue.
